Reflecting

John 12:9-11

9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of Him but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead
10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well
11 for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him

I remember the day I gave my life to the Lord on October 19, 2003 on the college campus at APSU. People who never believed begin to take a look into my life and meet Jesus. Friends shared their religious experiences with me of their church upbringing and said it was "just a phase" in hopes that I would be the same person I was. Bets were being placed on how long I would last, people were making fun, some thought I was just plain crazy. Yet I knew for me this was more than just some phase. My life was transformed and in that moment God began to move not only in my life but in so many others as well.

The enemy's most powerful weapon is death. It is the ultimate severance of relationship. There is none like it. Its kinda funny how they wanted to KILL LAZAURS again! The enemy may not use his greatest weapon but it may be a weapon of fear, insecurity, lust, jealousy, or envy to take you out so no one can hear what the Lord has done for you. His whole main goal is to stop you from sharing what He is doing in your life. If he can do that others will never put their faith in Jesus and believe. What weapons is he trying to use against you?

That is truly simple, yet right on target. After reading this, I am going to take a minute today and look at how the enemy is planning to "steal, kill or destroy" in my life. Amen, Strong!
